I rethought the whole linguistics PhD thing. Mainly because all the reasons I had for doing it were all a) lazy, b) predicated on relationship which shuddered to a halt in a welter of gore and novelty hats and c)somehow connected with the idea that I would eventually become the Lorenzo Lamas of graduate students, roaming badlands and doing karate.
All those had to go, and I will now be relying on my contempt for others, deep-seated lack of moral sense and my ability to nod immediately after the boss says something to get through a solid three years of a law degree.
You should probably get ready for some incredibly interesting discussions of Brown vs. Redman and the implications on the current state of play in the lower courts. How can you get ready?
Maybe popcorn?

All this is sounding a tad bit familiar. Oh dear God! What did you get yourself into? Are you selling your soul to something in the legal realm? Am I really such a bad influence? w-ko

Allow me to claim some territory in this land of milk and words. I anticipate becoming a parasitic blogger. Blogging my thoughts in the form of comments on your blog.
